Glassblowing Adjunct Instructor
Hillary Heckard was raised in Northern California. She attended the University of Oregon in 2004 and received her Bachelor of Art degree in Cultural Anthropology with a minor in Ethnomusicology in 2008. Hillary went on to receive a second Bachelor of Fine Art degree with a focus in glass at UH Manoa in 2012. She was also awarded a full tuition waiver to attend Alfred University as a Master of Fine Arts Graduate Student and graduated with an MFA in Dimensional Studies in 2018.
Upon Graduation, Hillary was awarded the artist fellowship at The First City Arts Center in Pensacola, Florida. Here, she is currently an adjunct professor for the Pensacola State college Visual Arts Center as a well as a Glass instructor for Glass workshops at FCAC. Heckard has exhibited internationally at institutions such as the Chrysler Museum of Art, University of Hawaii Manoa, Portsmouth Museum, Windward Community College, the Glass Furnace in Istanbul Turkey, Manifest Gallery, and the Turner Gallery in New York.
