The Visual Arts Department, located in the Anna Lamar Switzer Center for Visual Arts, offers a Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Business and Management with a concentration in Graphic Design Management, as well as variety of two-year degrees and professional art training in the areas of art history, ceramics, drawing, graphic design, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, two and three dimensional design.
The Anna Lamar Switzer Center for Visual Arts has served both students and the local community with quality arts education, exhibits, and programs for over fifty years. It has established a national reputation for its top-notch exhibitions, visiting artist workshops, permanent collection, and stellar faculty / support-staff.
The Visual Arts faculty are all professional creative artists actively involved in their fields. Their extensive exhibition, publication, and teaching experience offers students a rich source of artistic knowledge.

The Switzer Gallery and Charles W. Lamar Studio occupy a special place in Pensacola State College and the lives of Northwest Florida residents and visitors.
