Dan Charbonnet is a Louisiana native and graduate of the University of New Orleans, where he received a Master of Fine Arts in Painting. His works are in museums and private collections across the country, including the New Orleans Museum of Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art. He is a co-founder of the Good Children Gallery Artist collective in New Orleans and was a featured artist in the Prospect 2 international triennial.
In this exhibition, Charbonnet debuts a second continuum of his abstracted painting constructions which strive to achieve a balance between process and composition while inclusion of clay forms join the conversation with the organic shapes inhabiting the paintings.
