Originally from Pace, FL, Jason Pinckard earned his BFA in Studio Art from the University of West Florida in 2014. He earned his MFA in Studio Art from the University of South Florida in 2019. While attending, he served as gallery coordinator of the Carolyn Wilson Gallery at the University of South Florida from 2017-2019, where he curated, designed, and installed numerous exhibitions. Additionally, he has helped design and install exhibitions at spaces in Tampa, FL, Plant City, FL, Pensacola, FL, New Orleans, LA, and Wassaic, NY.
His artwork has been exhibited at institutions and galleries in Florida, Texas, and New York. In 2019 he was selected to be an Artist-in-Residence at the renowned Wassaic Project, in Wassaic, New York. Jason is an enthusiastic educator and has taught courses at the University of South Florida, Dallas County Community College, and the University of Texas at Dallas.
His practice involves digital imaging, using a convergence of mediums including painting, drawing, and collage. He utilizes the resulting images to produce printed photographs, books, and installations.
