Shane Looney

Photography Professor, Program Coordinator PHOTO-AS program

Creativity is the driving force in Shane’s life. He has dabbled in many forms of self-expression, from music to digital photography. From an early age, Shane developed an interest in art and took as many art classes as possible while in school. During a foray into the world of music after high school, he taught himself to play guitar, bass, drums and a variety of synthesizers. After years of deafening himself with loud rock music and ambient noise, Shane’s artistic energy began to shift back toward more of a visual nature. Thus began his relationship with The Anna Lamar Switzer Center for Visual Arts, first as a student and eventually as a member of the gallery team. As a valued member of this team, Shane strives to bring a level of experience and knowledge to the gallery while still remaining down to earth and pragmatic.
