Rachel Livedalen is an Associate Professor of Art at Texas Christian University, in Fort Worth, TX, where she heads the printmaking area. She earned her MFA in Printmaking from the University of lowa, and her BA from the University of Virginia. Livedalen’s creative practice explores representations of femininity through the lens of art history and visual culture, and her work has been supported in various residencies. Her artworks can be found within the collections of various museums, and she is represented by Erin Cluley Gallery in Dallas, TX and Ivester Contemporary in Austin, TX.
Livedalen’s exhibition, “Everything In Its Place”, will be on display in the Charles W. Lamar Studio from August 12 – December 13. She will be presenting an artist lecture in the Lamar Lecture Hall (Room 1513) on November 05, 2024 starting @ 5:30pm, and a reception will follow. She will also be presenting two experimental mixed media monoprint workshops on November 06 & 07, @ 5:00 – 6:00pm (Room 1520). These events are free and open to the public!
