This exhibition showcases a collective of eight student portfolios from the Senior Studio Graphic Design course, required in the Dr. Marjan Mazza Bachelor of Applied Science in Business and Management, Graphic Design Management concentration degree. Through graphic design, accented by photography and fine arts, these students create a dynamic collection of works illustrating their creativity, passion and dedication to the field.
As art lovers attending the exhibition venture down the halls of the gallery, they will have the opportunity to see branding and merchandising ideas for projects like video and board games, recreational sports facilities or businesses to create a visual identity for these products and services. “We want to teach them good work ethic, how to be professional and how to be good public speakers but ultimately, these are their passion projects,” stated Dr. Francesco Donato, Instructor of Art and Graphic Design who is leading these seniors in this creative endeavor. In addition to the exhibition projects, attendees will have the opportunity to view the students’ portfolios, which will be displayed on specially constructed shelves for the event, offering an even broader showcase of their talent.
“No Sleep Till Branded” will be on display in the Active Project Space of the Switzer Gallery from Oct. 14 through Dec. 6, and the opening reception will be held on Oct. 29, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
