Ralitsa Mihaylova, a Spring 2024 Pensacola State College graduate, won a gold national 2024 American Advertising Federation (ADDY) Award.
Mihaylova’s entry, “The Botanist,” won first place in the Still Photography – Color Single category at the AAF Awards Gala and Dinner held May 31 in Salt Lake City.
“The Botanist” also captured gold at the District 4 AAF Annual Conference held in April in Orlando, and the AAF Pensacola American Advertising Awards Gala in February.
Mihaylova earned her associate degree in photography in May.
An outstanding photographer, Mihaylova also placed first in the 2023 SkillsUSA Florida State Leadership and Skills Conference and qualified to compete in the SkillsUSA national conference last June. At the national SkillsUSA conference, she went on to place second.
Over the past two years, Mihaylova has excelled in the AAF ─ winning eight silver and two gold awards locally.
During her final semester at Pensacola State, Mihaylova also earned even more accolades, including the Scholastic Achievement Award, Department Scholar, Gulf Coast Camera Award, Paul D. Lyon Jr. Memorial Award and the Pat Regan Award.
“Seeing Ralitsa’s dedication and passion translate into such remarkable achievements has been incredibly rewarding,” said Kristen Regan, PSC’s photography professor, who has traveled with Mihaylova to several competitions.
“Her success is a testament to her hard work and talent, and I am immensely proud of her accomplishments. Traveling with her to various competitions has been a privilege, and witnessing her hard-earned success has been inspiring.”
