SELF PORTRAIT IN BLACK WRAPPING is one of Juan Gonzalez’s earlier paintings. The painting was part of Gonzalez’s Master of Fine Art exhibition at the University of Miami. It has also been exhibited at the Lowe Art Museum and the Metropolitan Museum and Art Center in Miami, FL.
Cuban born realist painter, Juan Gonzalez was born in Camaguey, Cuba in 1942. Gonzalez passed away in 1992 in Manhattan, NY where he taught at the School of Visual Arts for nearly two decades.
