Syd Solomon
Solomon was an abstract artist born in Uniontown, PA in 1917. An Army veteran it is stated that Solomon credits the “aerial reconnaissance and camouflage he did during WWII influenced his ideas about abstracts art”. In 1946 him and his wife, Annie moved to Sarasota, FL, home of Ringling Museum of Art. From the 1950s till his death in 2004 he and his wife made Sarasota a well-known colony for artist nationwide.
